The owners of this new home in the Town of Somerset, challenged GTM to design a 2-story house with generously tall proportioned ceilings, yet present itself modestly among the existing neighborhood streetscape.  The low sloped hip roof with deep overhanging eaves, characteristic of Prairie style architecture, proved to be an inspiring solution.  Further stylistic details include, cedar soffit boards above alternating width lap siding anchored to the landscape on a sturdy stone foundation.  The period windows provide an authentic exterior embellishment and simultanously complement the interiors uniquely American character.
