Yakabod

Yakabod retained GTM Architects to design their new headquarters in the newly renovated Union Knitting Mills building in downtown Frederick. GTM worked closely with the company’s CEO to design a space that embraces the historic character of the building, incorporates modern elements and provides expansion space as the company continues to grow.

Self-proclaimed “Foodies”, Yakabod required a professional coffee bar and food stations which were designed around the original freight elevator structure and equipment. The remainder of the space includes 2 large conference rooms with a folding partition to accommodate larger meetings or events, offices, open work area and three smaller ” break-out” lounge spaces.
