Rockville, MD
Inspired by traditional stately homes with Tudor-style features, this elegant and refined transitional style adaptation combines classical detailing with traditional geometries. A punctuation of depth comes in the contrast of the white painted brick and dark bronze window frames. The clients wanted to emphasize an approachable and family-oriented home, rather than a formally austere structure, while still including timeless exterior elements such as copper gutters and slate roofing. Attention to symmetry and geometric form rendered in brick masonry on the front façade encloses all the programmatic elements required by the client and their family.
