Willow & Maple is situated on 2.3 acres and located in the historic district of Takoma Park. Two 50-unit multifamily buildings and three reconstructed single family residences combine to create a new, low-scale walkable community within a quarter-mile to the Takoma Park Metro station.
Each apartment building provides an amenity package of community room, fitness room, 48-bike capacity bicycle storage room, and an expansive 2,600 sf outdoor roof-top amenity space with lounge seating, fire pit and grilling area for its residents. The apartment buildings are designed as traditionally-detailed three-story wood structures clad with varying textures of warm yellow brick, stucco, bronze windows and white exterior balconies at each unit. Two of the single family homes have been relocated from their original locations on the site and the third was completely reconstructed. All three restored bungalows are unique in character, color and material, allowing for a smooth transition to the neighboring residential fabric south of the project site.
