District Dogs Navy Yard

GTM was engaged to design the newest location of District Dogs in DC’s Navy Yard neighborhood. As the second location for District Dogs, the goal for this facility was to fulfill the owner’s vision of growing his lively, colorful full service pet care company. The facility features a combined retail/check-in area, grooming, overnight boarding, and multiple indoor play yards for daycare. Providing play yards that were durable, flexible, easy to maintain and aesthetically pleasing was key. A large roll up door was used between two play yards, allowing them to be combined into one large yard. This also provided the opportunity to host private events for larger groups, such as dog birthday parties. Accents of yellow against a neutral black and white palette were used to coordinate with the company’s main branding colors. Custom designed shelving in the retail area showcases a variety of products for both dogs and dog lovers.
