Designed to transport patrons to a Mexican oasis, Villa One Tequila Garden is a 3,000 square foot bar, restaurant and nightlife hotspot located on the rooftop of the Theatre Box building in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. GTM’s design was inspired by Mexican Tulum styles, with lush plants and luxurious textiles along with shades of green reminiscent of agave fields and vibrant accent walls with neon signs. The furniture is a balance of brightly colored teal and yellow fabrics, with warm iroko wood chairs, teak floors and dark ceruse wood tabletops.
The rooftop features expansive open-air seating amidst stunning views of downtown San Diego and the Coronado Bridge. The layout was designed to provide dining and lounge seating for 110, including a communal table for socializing at the center of the space surrounded by fire tables and large clay pots overflowing with palms and tropical flowers. An intimate 14 seat bar complete with fireclay back bar tiles and decorative basket pendants sits along the north side, showcasing Villa One’s selection of more than 160 tequilas and mezcals on the lit metal bar shelves.
